Jerry Rice, the greatest receiver of all time, fumbled with 46 seconds remaining in the January 3rd, 1999 playoff game as his 49ers were driving to win the game. The referees decided that Rice could not possibly have fumbled.

49ers quarterback Steve Young wins the game with a 25 yard pass to Terrell Owens with three seconds remaining in the game giving Packers quarterback Brett Favre his only loss to San Francisco over his long career as the Packers starter.

Favre is quoted in 2006 when discussing his 11-1 record against San Francisco as saying “That ‘1′ should come with an asterisk.”
