With the Green Bay Packers on the Washington Redskins 8 yard line on 2nd down, Packers quarterback Brett Favre connects to his Tight End Bubba Franks in the back of the end zone. Bubba is pushed out of end zone during the reception.
Despite NFL rules allowing for this situation to be called a touchdown, the play is ruled an incomplete pass. Mike Pereira, Vice-President of Officiating for the NFL, later laments that they play was not ruled a touchdown.
Favre is sacked on the next play and Packers kicker, Mason Crosby, misses the field goal attempt. The Packers hold on and win by a score of 17 to 14.
