The date is November 18th, 2007. In a shootout of a game, the Bengals are down 35 to 27 and driving. With 49 seconds remaining, Bengals quarterback, Carson Palmer, takes a snap from shotgun and throws a deep pass over the middle. Antrelle Rolle is there. He has picked off 2 passes already and returned them for touchdowns. He intercepts the ball and becomes the first player in NFL history to return 3 INTs for TDs in the same game.
However, a bad call nullifies the third TD. Carson Palmer attempted to become a defender after the INT and was blocked by Antonio Smith who was incorrectly flagged for a personal foul. The NFL later admits the personal foul call was a mistake to Arizona coaches.
