Buccaneers offensive tackle, Jeremy Trueblood, is flagged for a 15 yard penalty for hitting Viking linebacker Chad Greenway after the play is over in the 1st quarter against the Minnesota Vikings. However, no whistle had been blown by a referee to signal that the play was over. When he protests, he is told to “Shut the f*&% up!”
The 15 yard penalty moved the Buccaneers back from the Minnesota 15 yard line to the 30 and eventually resulted in a Tampa Bay field goal.

NFL referees blew yet another call tonight in Pittsburgh. Fortunately, the horrible call didn’t cost the Steelers the game! The mayhem ensued after the final play of the game where Ladainian Tomlinson lateralled to a receiver who attempted to lateral to a third player. Troy Polamalu batted the second lateral out of the air and scooped it up for an apparent touchdown. The play was reviewed by the Zebras who INCORRECTLY ruled that the play was dead due to LT’s forward lateral. The problem is that the referees blew not one but TWO calls on the play. First, video evidence shows that LT was even with his receiver when he latteralled the football! Second, the referees completely blew the rulling by calling the play dead after the phantom forward lateral!! The rules concerning a forward lateral are spelled out clearly in this thread:

I don’t know how you can take so much time reviewing a play and STILL blow the call!! I expect the Zebras to be fined for this gaffe. After further review …. the Steelers got screwed!!
NOTE: The Vegas line was PIT -5. The most pain was felt by the bettors that put their money on the Steelers… $66 million in lost bets in legal gambling.

Samari Rolle, the well-known cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, gets away with pass interference and then nearly gets away with an interception in this play from November 16th, 2008 against the Giants. Watch as he climbs up the back of Giants receiver, Steve Smith, while the ball is in the air to nearly pick off the ball without a single yellow flag being dropped. Even upon review of the play, no interference call is made.
Interestingly enough, prior to the 2008 NFL season, Rich Eisen, of the NFL Network, asked the NFL Head of Officiating, Mike Pereira, about the possibility of Refs calling penalties during instant replay reviews. At the time, Mr. Pereira answered that refs can call anything that they see when under the hood. However, not surprisingly, no penalties are known to have been called during a replay moment in the NFL…

Late in the Packers/Vikings gamed played in Minnesota, running back Adrian Peterson scores a touchdown for the Vikings. During his celebration, he removes his helmet which is a clear violation of NFL rules.
No penalty flag is thrown which robs the Packers of 15 yds of field position. The Vikings win the game by one point, 28 to 27.
Vice-President of NFL Officiating, Mike Pereira, is later quoted:
“I can’t figure out why anything wasn’t done about that, but I will say this: It frustrates me that we didn’t do anything about that. You can’t take your helmet off either to argue a call or to celebrate.”
