At 5:27 remaining in the 4th quarter with the Dolphins leading the Jets by a score of 24 to 20, Jets rookie quarterback, Mark Sanchez, drops back and throws a deep pass to newly acquired wide receiver, Braylon Edwards. Miami cornerback Will Allen is in perfect position and defends the pass in near textbook fashion.
It must have looked too good because a ref threw a flag for pass interference. Repeated replays of the play show no infraction of the rules took place. The penalty gave 49 yards to the Jets.
The Dolphins hold on for a 31 to 27 win. Play-By-Play
